nikki

so i have basically 2 good stories about kevin's car that are not very pleasant for the driver (sorry kevin, i really have to tell those stories though). just on a side note: i got the permission for that!

kevin met us in kansas city and drove with us to maryville (thanks for that bro). after spending a day and night in maryville we headed out to the cabin. since it was pretty cold we decided to go have an early dinner in the next town (about 15 miles away). it was dark by then and richard's driveway goes downhill to the cabin. so we had to drive up the driveway. well - it didn't quite work out that way - we got stuck (with a jeep type of car!). rich and matt, and in the end even i, tried to get nikki out of the mud... didn't work. so richard called his neighbour (1.5 miles away) to get a chain to pull nikki out of the mud. we finally managed to get out of the driveway and on the road and got food (we were just a little late but oh well).

next story is really short: we ran out of gas just a quater of a mile away from the gas station the next day. that was fun. i was laughing my ass of. luckily we had richard to go get us gas (he was driving his own car) and bring it to us with his truck. that was fun.


also ich hab 2 geschichten von kevin's auto zu erzaehlen (sorry, ich muss die geschichten wirklich erzaehlen, und ich hab die erlaubnis vom besitzer :))

kevin hat uns in kansas city abgeholt und ist mit uns nach maryville gefahren. nachdem wir den tag und die nacht dort verbracht haben, sind wir zu richards huette gefahren. nachdem es ziemlich kalt war haben wir beschlossen, im naechsten dorf abend zu essen (das naechste dorf war ca. 20 km weit weg). es war schon dunkel, als wir weg wollten und wir mussten natuerlich aus der einfarht raus. richards einfahrt zur huette war aber ziemlich steil abwaerts bzw aufwaerts. also mussten wir diesen part auch wieder rauf. bloederweise hat das kevins auto nicht geschafft (er hat ein jeep aehnliches auto - also 4rad antrieb - ziemlich peinlich also!!) jedenfalls musste richard nach einer weile (matt, kevin, richard und am schluss sogar ich hatten versucht, das auto aus dem schneematsch rauszuschieben!!) seinen nachbar anrufen (der ca. 2km weit weg wohnt) um sich eine kette auszuborgen. jedenfalls hat das funktioniert (richard hat uns mit seinem noch groesseren auto rausgezogen) und wir sind zu unserem essen gekommen. spaet aber doch :))

die naechste geschichte ist echt kurz: wir sind am naechsten tag einen halben kilometer vor der naechsten tankstelle liegengeblieben - kein benzin mehr. das war lustig. ich hab mich echt halbtot gelacht. gott sei dank hatten wir richard, der uns vorausfuhr und bemerkt hat, dass wir kein benzin mehr haben und hat uns welches gebracht. das war wirklich lustig.
