stone age - steinzeit

yesterday i have decided that i'm eligible for an early chistmas present at work. so i've ordered myself an optical mouse (i did the yearly office supply order yesterday...). you might think i'm still working with an electronic typewriter here... no - we actually have computers at work (they even work with windows xp for almost 2 years now!) it's just that we kind of take it easy on upgrades. that's why i was working with a wired mouse since i got this computer (about 4 years ago) since the keyboard and mouse came with it for free. well our it-guy was making fun of me for the longest time because the cable likees to get stuck between the tablegap and the cusor is jumping from one end of the screen to the other for no apparent reason (and i closed programs on acciedent like this just too often). so now i'm the proud owner for a laser mouse. it is a really weird feeling to not have to pull the mousecord out of gaps and such that i really have to get used to the easy going curser now. it will take me awhile but i will get there :)
yea, i guess my life is very exciting right now.... sorry about that!

gestern hab ich beschlossen, dass ich mich für ein frühes weihnachtsgeschenk qualifiziert habe (fragt mich nicht nach dem speziellen grund - eigentlich verdiene ich jeden tag ein weihnachsgeschenk, lol) also hab ich mich gestern mit einer optischen maus beschenkt weil ich mich die längste zeit über meine kabelmaus geärgert hab (ich hab die jahresbestellung büromaterial gestern gemacht und da hat es sich angeboten...). und nein, ich schreibe nicht mehr auf schreibmaschine und papier hier im büro. wir haben computer, die sogar mit xp rennen. aber ich hab halt bisher die maus und tastatur beutzt, die vor ca. 4 jahren mit dem rechner gratis mitgeliefert wurde. und nachdem sich das kabel gerne in der tischnut (oder tischritze?) verhängt und der curser gerne von einem fensterende zum anderen ohne ersichtlichen grund springt (dadurch habe ich schon oftmals programme geschlossen ohne es zu wollen) und mich unser edv-mann schon seit über einem jahr milde belächelt... naja, jetzt hab ich also eine funkmaus. die ist wirklich toll und kann so ziemlich alles (außer meine arbeit selbstständig erledigen... das wär was :)). es ist aber trotzdem ein komisches gefühl, plötzlich nicht mehr am kabel herumzerren zu müssen... naja, ich muss mich noch an die leichtigkeit gewöhnen - das wird wohl etwas dauern...
ja, so spanned ist mein leben derzeit, es tut mir leid.
