cooking lessons with oma - kochunterricht mit oma

i think it is very important to learn to cook the things you like to eat at your grandparents or parents if you can. well i can (lucky me). even though my grandma probably thinks i'm a terrible student... here is my problem: i like to cook after a recipe. my grandma likes to cook with estimates. which is fine. but how do you write that down? (" take a little milk and maybe a little more, you have to see if you like the texture... and put it in the bowl filled with 1 inch of bread crums"??) however, we found a way - i took my scale :) (it took us a while to figure it all out) and i have awesome recipes - and more to come still. oma - as always - was very patient with me and i think i'm improving :)

ich finde, es ist sehr wichtig, die leckeren dinge, die man so gern bei den großeltern oder den eltern isst, selbst nachkochen zu können. also bin ich das vergangene wochenende den großteil meiner zeit mit oma in der küche gestanden und habe mich belehren lassen :). nun ja, meine oma kocht etwas anders, als ich es gewohnt bin. ich kocht gern nach"ja, das schaut gut aus, das passt schon" oder "da nimmst ungefähr so viel" (und schüttet brotwüfel in den topf) - ich hingegen koche gerne nach rezept. also hab ich meine waage mitgebracht um alle zutaten abzuwiegen... hat zwar alles ein bisschen länger gedauert, und ich glaube, oma wollte mich ein bissl übers ohr haun (wenn ich mich einmal umgedreht hab, ist wieder etwas im topf gelandet, von dem ich dann natürlich wieder nicht gesehen hab, wieviel es war, lol) aber alles in allem habe ich viel dazugelernt und die oma hat das wochenende mit mir auch überlebt :). sie war wie immer sehr geduldig mit mir und ich hoffe, sie zeigt mir noch viele weiter rezepte!
