forum

our houseing development (and i don't want to name it because i don't want to get tracked down by google and then get accused by anybody for nothing) is the proud owner of 3 different forums (2 of the 3 were found after an incident...) for people who live there (and even the ones outside the area can read and write there really)... well a few months back the people on the "original" forum had a huge fight about basics (how to run a forum, about censorship etc). back then i resigned being an administrator there. however... since then that forum is really pretty much dead. noone really posts anything there anymore (except the administrators and moderators mostly about baby-language and seminars about non-behaving kids... seriousely!). yesterday (the first new thread in about 3 weeks) a lady posted a complaint about dogs not behaving around the houses (i don't want to go into gross details) and got a very unfriendly response from one of the two remaining administrators to not post that on the forum but talk to the people instead. i agree to the basic thought but seriousely people - what is the purpose of a forum? i realize that most people just use it to vent but be real - why even check the forum if whenever you say your opinion in virtual public you get hushed... that's no fun. free the forum!

in meiner wohngegend (und ich will sie hier jetzt nicht beim namen nennen - zum schluss spuckt google noch meinen blog als ergebnis aus und ich werd für sachen beschimpft... lassen wir das) gibts inzwischen 3 verschiedene foren für bewohner der umgebung. also... vor ein paar monaten gab es einen riesen krach im "originalen" forum und damals hab ich das amt des administrators niedergelegt (gemeinsam mit einem weitern admin und 3 oder 4 mods). dadurch sind dann zwei weitere, neue foren entstanden. seitdem postet kaum mal jemand im forum, außer die verbliebenen admins oder mods (meistens über babysprache und vorträgen über unleidige jugendliche lol). jedenfalls hat gestern eine bewohnerin einen post geschrieben (und das nach ungefähr 3 wochen funkstille in eben diesem forum) über die nicht wohlerzogenen hunde in der anlage (die grauslichen details erspar ich euch hier) woraufhin eine ziemlich schroffe antwort eines administrators kam, dass sie die sache bitte nicht im forum posten soll sondern die leute direkt ansprechen soll. leute, mal ehrlich... wozu ist ein forum denn da? ich weiß, viele verwenden es nur um dampf abzulassen - aber auch das muss erlaubt sein oder? was hab ich von einem forum, in dem mir gleich der mund verboten wird? so macht das keinen spaß. freiheit dem forum!
